As with so many modern perennials, this Geum has taken a favourite plant of old and radically improved both the form and the flower power. Geum ‘Rustico Orange’ has a compact mounding habit and becomes smothered in numerous red orange double flowers in spring. The flowers erupt through healthy and dense green foliage with large attractive leaves around late August to early September. This perennial is a long liver, lasting happily in the garden for many years to come and is particularly hardy in dry or difficult growing conditions. The large ruffled flowers will carry on for an extended period and are a spectacular sight as they emerge from the strong healthy foliage.
Geum ‘Rustico Orange’ will grow happily in full sun but will also tolerate some shade. Quick to establish. Keep moist and feed occasionally with slow release fertiliser.
