Corydalis Blue Heron is a fragrant and eyecatching spring flowering shade plant. Produces masses of darkest blue gentian flowers with striking red stems, a feature in the shade garden. Forms a neat clump of attractive blue green fern like foliage.
'Blue Heron' is bred to stand up to summer heat better than most corydalis but may stil exhibit some summer dormancy in the hottest and driest months.
A woodland plant, ideal mass planted under trees where it will produce lovely soft swathes of deep blue. It will survive in a container situation but will need to be in shade and kept moist.
Prefers average well drained soil. Keep watered in the driest months.
