Dicentra Amore Pink
Dicentra ‘Amore Pink’ produces masses of pretty pale pink heart-shaped flowers in drifts of colour over an extended period from spring through the summer months. Commonly referred to as fern-leafed ‘Bleeding Heart’ for the shape of the flowers. Foliage is lacy blue-green, forming a compact mound. This woodland perennial favours full to part shade, and is ideal under taller trees or shrubs to lend colour and interest in the shade border. Vigorous and very hardy.
Dicentra ‘Amore Pink’ is a moisture-loving perennial (although some drying out between watering is important) which likes loamy soil but is relatively ‘un-fussy’. ‘Amore Pink’ will require some shade in New Zealand’s intense light conditions. Keep moist especially on establishment and feed occasionally with slow release fertiliser
