Kniphofia Pineapple Popsicle

Kniphofias are better known by their common name, ‘Red Hot Pokers’, and ‘Pineapple Popsicle’ is one of a new selection of dwarf Red Hot Pokers. These are better performed than their common big brother in that ‘Pineapple Popsicle’ flowers for an extended period and more abundantly, in fact from late summer right through until the first frosts. The large creamy yellow tipped with peach flowers are vibrant and striking on a very compact plant which would be perfect for a smaller garden area. Quick to establish yet compact. Attractive to Tui because of their profuse nectar production.

Kniphofia ‘Pineapple Popsicle’ is a full sun lover and drought tolerant.  Removal of dead flower heads to ground level and an application of mulch to preserve summer moisture will be beneficial. Divide with care in spring but infrequently as Kniphofias sometimes resent being moved or disturbed. Easy care. Hardy.
