Pulmonaria Cobalt

Pulmonaria are incredible ground cover perennials able to tolerate the very difficult dry shade situation as not many plants do! Pulmonaria are characterised by green spotted silver leaves with either pale lilac blue or pink flowers. Usually the leaves are more exciting than the flowers. Until now! 

Meet Pulmonaria Nova Cobalt, a new selection with the most intense cobaly blue flowers against green foliage. It’s a whole new thing for the under-rated pulmonaria.

Even in the humidity of Auckland pulmonarias spread beautifully to form a dense speckled foliage ground cover. They will tolerate some sun but thrive in dappled shade such as in a woodland setting.
